Dave with the Mighty Martin acoustic bass at a Ragwagon session. That's a large instrument, but doesn't it sort of look like a ukulele on Dave?

History of Dave
.
Dave, being basically too good to be true, actually didn't exist at all until Amy decided it was time to invent the right man to love, and besides, her band needed a bass player. At that point it was inevitable, and lo, there he was. Couldn't miss him. Nice magic, Amy.
Besides thinking it sure is nice to exist, at last, Dave is also delighted to continue to grow as a musician, software engineer, code writer, website designer, sound engineer, gourmet cook, amateur photographer, avid reader, and body builder.
When Amy wrote the song "More," only those who had never seen Dave had to ask her who the song was about. Oops. Oh, him!
Dave, Amy, daughter Sophia, and their cats all share a lovely home on a lovely street in a lovely town on a lovely planet. You can too, if you planet that way.
Like Amy. And Dave. Now, Amy, let's talk about drummers...

Ed:  There have only been about a half dozen musicians that I have ever known who started from square-one and got as good as Dave, as fast as he did - and Dave is the biggest. Oh, and the best, too! My understanding is that Dave announced one day that he figured he would probably be a pretty good bass player because he once played the tuba sometime back in his school days. (Yeah, right.) So he bought a bass. Well, weren't we surprized! He was good enough to play professionally in about a month. And he did. Within a year he was doing session work and playing in two bands. In another year, mark my word, Dave is going to be working on his Grammy acceptance speech.

Gosh Dave, I don't know how much of this puffy stuff you want me to write - (when Dave says you'd better say nice things, smart people listen...but I know the way out...) ok, ok, later. Let's eat. (Works every time!)

Pssst, it's all true, every word. Nobody believes me once they hear him play, but it's true, I swear it! The tuba! A month! A year! A Grammy!

The "Artists" Series
A series of special pages at BigTreehouse.com that honor the individual musicians, engineers, and artists who lent their special talents to the project of making the CDs "Big Book Of Love" and "Wrong Side Of The Door" by Ed Rashed, and our way of saying thanks to them. -Ed Rashed, Big Treehouse Records
