©2001 KimTrusty.com . . I'll never forget the first day I met Joe. It had been a long series of auditions to replace an outgoing bass player. We had heard about 3 others that day, and each one was a little weaker than the one before. We were starting to wonder if we would have to settle for someone we really didn't want. But when Joe plugged in and started warming up, it took about 3 notes for the rest of us to just look at each other and smile. We had our man, and we couldn't believe our luck. Finally we could get back to the business of making music. Since that good-old-day about 22 years ago, I have worked with Joe in several bands, and on various other projects. Joe was the first musician I called on to talk about my CD project. As soon as Joe said "yes," I knew I had a solid foundation to build on. Joe Potenza's musicianship, enthusiasm, versatility, creativity, sense of humor, and incredible energy are legendary, and I can tell you that my recordings would not have come out quite as right to my ears without Joe, his able hands, and his creative input. Just listen! You'll hear what I mean. Top shelf. So, thanks, Joe. Keep up the great work. |
